The University of Illinois College of Medicine Rockford is seeking a Research Scientist with experience in 3D bioprinting and polymer synthesis for a full-time position. The candidate will focus on the development and application of 3D Bioprinting and organoid technologies for nanotechnology, regenerative medicine, cancer, and stem cell research. The holder of the position will also participate in graduate teaching activities and grant writing.

The University of Illinois College of Medicine is one of the largest medical schools in the United States and offers outstanding opportunities for development for its students, faculty, and staff.  The Rockford campus is in a delightful, mid-size metropolitan area in northern Illinois, west of Chicago. The city has minor league baseball and hockey, three botanical gardens, an art museum, theater, a revitalized downtown, and several parks and a river walk for walking, hiking, bicycling and cross-country skiing.  Public and several private school systems are available.

Exceptional candidates with a passion for research, teaching, and working collaboratively with like-minded professionals at the University of Illinois College of Medicine should apply. The applicant must have a PhD in Biomedical Science, Cell Biology, Biomedical or Tissue Engineering or related field. Working knowledge of 3D Bioprinting tissues, cell culture with a proven track record of experimental design and manuscript writing is required. Working knowledge of polymer synthesis and characterization is preferred.
