Job Duties
- Plans, directs and conducts research experiments.
- Evaluates and analyzes data.
- Develops research techniques and performs applications required for specific research projects.
- Conducts literature searches and summarize information in an appropriate format for a particular study.
- Assists in grant preparation and development.
- Documents results of experiments and reports to principal investigators.
- Trains and orients less experienced research staff.
- May supervise, schedule and coordinate the activities of less experienced research staff.
- Maintains quality controls standards to preserve the integrity of data and findings.
- Analyzes data using various statistical methods.
- Writes reports to summarize data and the implications of results.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or related field.
- Four years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD degree in a related field preferred.
- Molecular and cellular biology research lab experience.
- Animal handling experience preferred.
