Position Summary
The Senior Analyst role is a position who reports to the Lead Systems Analyst. Will work on the day-to-day tasks maintained by the COH Change, Release and Environment Management Team. Design, build, and test Change management processes. Will monitor and analyze the production pipeline, ensuring that the quality and integrity of migrations are maintained. Will utilize best practice build standards to the design and development of Change, Release and Environments. Design, build, and test Epic DC interfaces and Epic Data Courier system settings. Will create/maintain documentation pertain to COH Environments. Will create/maintain the current process documentation. Will create/maintain optimization of Change and Release processes. Will analyze reports and make updates and report any issues to the Lead Systems Analyst. Report status of task completion to Lead Systems Analyst. Provide timely alerts about endangered milestones and deliverables.

Key Responsibilities include:
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Will run and attend Epic Change Control meetings
  • Analyze and interpret daily reports to review for trends
  • Will actively run ad hoc audit reports
  • Ensure COH policies and procedures are followed for Change Management
  • Actively supports operational and project work streams.
  • Ensures deliverables are completed in accordance with City of Hope governance structure.
  • Ensures ticket submissions are complete, thorough and assigned in a timely manner.
  • Escalates non-resolved issues to the Lead Migration Specialist as needed
  • Communicates status of work plans for tasks, issues, and risks, in a timely manner to the Lead Migration and Senior Manager Quality Center as needed.
  • Utilize ITIL/best practices
  • Will monitor DC Interfaces, and analyze DC related reports
  • Maintains and analyzes Change tickets for both Change Control and Safe to Move requests
  • Participates in team meetings to discuss team and project related activities, issues, changes, communications and updates.
  • Will work On-call time as needed
  • Works on Software updates to the system as needed
  • Ensures team adheres to processes.
  • Collaborates with other teams
  • Maintains a positive image when dealing with department personnel and other City of Hope employees.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Proven ability to perform business analysis and apply technology
  • Minimum 5 years Information Technology experience or equivalent.
  • Possesses an understanding of computer system capabilities to address process requirements.

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
  • Collaboration across disciplines/departments and drive teams to decisions and shared IT goals and objectives.
  • Acts as user liaison between clinical or business departments and Information Systems; providing domain expertise and experience for multiple interacting healthcare departments.
  • Leads others to adhere to established industry best practices, standards, and quality.
  • Maintains a positive image when dealing with department personnel and other City of Hope employees.
  • Other Duties as Assigned


Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience may substitute for minimum education requirements
  • 5+ years healthcare Information Technology experience.

Preferred education experience and skills:
  • Master's Degree or higher
  • ITIL Certification(s)
  • 8+ years of experience in systems analysis
  • 3+ years leading or in a mentoring healthcare role.
  • 3 + years recent Epic technical and/or build experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a clinical role.
  • Proven ability to perform business analysis and apply technology.
  • Possess an understanding of computer system capabilities to address process requirements
  • Ability to integrate process steps and handoffs across disciplines/departments and drive teams to decisions.Healthcare experience in other acute care health care settings preferred as well. Previous experience in the design, planning and implementation of CIS preferred.
