Position Summary:

Provides volume, profitability, and service analysis reporting. Performs analysis of volume and financial data, including analysis of product lines. Assists with forecasting and modeling for strategic planning and analysis.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Plan, prepare and analyze monthly volume and financial reporting for Medical Center.
  • Provide decision support analytics to various business partners within the organization.
  • Provide Decision Support database maintenance, reporting, auditing and reconciliation of patient level data (financial and clinical).

    • Has a working knowledge of ICD-9 procedure and diagnostic codes, and product lines.
    • Has the ability to assimilate very large quantities of information and report it in a concise understandable fashion, including market analysis of OSHPD information.
    • Support Managed Care department with financial analysis and contract modeling, and overall payor strategy,
  • Ability to work both independently and within Decision Support team on projects and collaborate with multiple departments across the organization to gather data and provide meaningful reports
  • Assist with building, testing, and maintenance of various monitoring dashboards
  • Coordinates with the Decision Support Manager in maintaining available information to assure reliability and quality presentation, in conducting and preparing studies for program and business development, and in preparing demand forecasts for marketing and financial planning. Prepares reports and presentations of this information for Board.


Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Experience may substitute for minimum education requirements.
  • 5+ in healthcare finance and/or decision support. A general understanding of the clinical field to be able to work with diagnostic, procedure and supply codes.

Required Courses/Training:
  • Training/experience in the use of personal computer spreadsheet graphics and database applications.
