Postdoctoral Fellow

A postdoctoral fellow position is immediately available in the Center for Translational Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA, USA. This is a collaborative position for scientists interested in Pulmonary and Cardiovascular Medicine, with a specific focus on the areas of vascular inflammation, endothelial dysfunction, lung fibrosis, pulmonary artery hypertension and acute lung injury. The proposed studies will employ cutting edge technologies to elucidate novel pathogenic mechanisms and to advance therapeutics specific for cardiopulmonary disorders.  We seek a highly motivated individual for this position who has extensive experience in molecular and cellular biology, vascular medicine and models of human disease. Excellent oral and written communication skills and a collaborative attitude are also required. Work will be performed in a dynamic and supportive environment and candidates will have ample opportunities for scientific growth.

Qualified applicants for postdoctoral/research associates should have a recent PhD and/or an MD degree and a strong research experience in one of the following areas: molecular and cell biology, biochemistry, immunology, pharmacology, and mouse genetics or related field.
