This critical role leads HSWRI’s scientific research operations toward fulfilling its public-trust mission. The CSO establishes scientific priorities and coordinates the organizational and administrative assets that support the Institute’s scientists in their efforts to achieve those goals. Working with the CEO and the Development team, the CSO will interface with the community to share the Institute’s scientific accomplishments, translate results for non-scientific audiences, and present the program in a way to attract further support from donors.
