Job Details

The Department of Biological and Health Sciences at Wheaton College (IL) seeks candidates for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Biology, specializing in genetics, to begin August 2022. A PhD (or ABD) in genetics or closely related field is required. Candidates with strengths in a systems biology or bioinformatics approach to genetics are especially encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will be joining a dedicated team of teacher-scholars, with expanding teaching and scholarly opportunities in bioinformatics, neuroscience, and public health anticipated in the coming years. The successful candidate will be expected to teach upper-level genetics and associated laboratories, other courses as appropriate to their experience, and possibly introductory biology. The opportunity to develop new courses is available. Scholarly productivity in research will be expected for tenure and promotion.
