Postdoctoral/Research Associate

A postdoctoral or Research Associate position is immediately available at Duke University to study how the nervous system controls metabolism and immunity. You will join our laboratory to study the fundamental physiologic, cellular, and molecular mechanisms mediating neuro-modulation of the immune and metabolic systems during infectious disorders such as sepsis. Our research is mostly translational to study the fundamental mechanisms of neuronal control of physiologic homeostasis and their translation into novel therapeutic strategies for treating infectious, metabolic, and inflammatory disorders. The optimal candidate shall have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate, publications related to the field, and experience in cellular and molecular biology and animal surgery.
