I. Profile of the University

Anhui University of Science and Technology is a key high-level university in Anhui Province jointly established by Anhui Province and the Ministry of Emergency Management of the People's Republic of China. Founded in 1945 and located at Huainan City, Anhui Province, the University is less than 80 kilometers away from Hefei, provincial capital of Anhui, and Hefei Xinqiao International Airport. Both Beijing-Shanghai High-speed Highway and Shangqiu-Hefei-Hangzhou High-speed Railway made a stopover here. Moreover, the University is one kilometer away from the Huainan Railway Station and two kilometers away from an entry to He-Huai-Fu Expressway, constituting very convenient transportation.   

The University has a high-level and reasonably structured faculty combining full-time and part-time staff, including over 4,000 faculty members (members of the directly affiliated hospital included). There are more than 900 faculty members with senior professional titles, including 1 academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, 6 national-level talents, 44 who enjoy special government allowances from the State Council, 6 who are included into the excellent talent support program for the new century of the Ministry of Education, 2 who are included into the youth talent support program of the China Association for Science and Technology, 19 leading talents included into the special support program of Anhui and other programs, and 30 academic and technological leading talents of Anhui. The University also has a high-level part-time teacher team composed of over 400 experts and professors. Among them, there are 28 dual-employed academicians. The University has also cultivated 3 “115” industrial innovation teams and 7 Anhui provincial teams of leading university talents.

The University has set up a graduate school and 19 faculties (departments) to cover disciplines in the fields including engineering, science, medicine, economics, management, law, literature, art, etc. The University has 6 programs conferring doctoral degrees for first-level disciplines, 33 programs conferring doctoral degrees for second-level disciplines, 22 programs conferring master’s degrees for first-level disciplines, 11 programs conferring master’s degrees for specialized degrees and 87 undergraduate majors.

The University has more than 30 research innovation platforms such as a key state lab of deep coal mining response and disaster prevention and control, a state and local joint engineering research center of safe and precise coal mining, a provincial and ministerial and provincial key lab, an engineering research center, a collaborative innovation center, and an academician workstation. The University has successively established strategic cooperation relations with over 10 local governments, over 100 enterprises and nearly 20 universities to establish the Institute of Environment-Friendly Materials and Occupational Health (in Wuhu), the Energy Revolution Engineering Technology Institute (in Jincheng), the CHISAGE Shanghai Health Institute, the Institute for Advanced Study (in Hefei), and Nanjing Institute of Intelligent IoT.

II. Recruitment Targets and Requirements

Those to be recruited must be domestic or overseas outstanding doctors (postdoctors included) who uphold the leadership of the Communist Party of China, love China, love education, abide by the law, have good ideological and political quality and professional ethics, as well as solid professional knowledge and strong teamwork spirit, be healthy physically and mentally, and present a high academic level and good development potential.

III. Treatment for Doctors Recruited

1. Included into staffing of government affiliated institutions.

2. Scientific research start-up allowance, and remuneration and other allowances:

Scientific research start-up allowance: RMB 60,000 - 200,000

Remuneration: Remuneration for the corresponding position offered by the university is available

Settling-in and housing allowances: RMB 200,000 - 400,000

 

Note: For a doctor from a badly-needed major, the settlement and housing allowances will be increased by RMB 100,000. The scientific research start-up, settling-in and housing allowances are divided into three levels based on performance during each doctoral (post-doctoral) period. If a doctor fails to achieve performance for the first level, the first level will be implemented if the doctor establishes a project for Natural Science Foundation within three years from joining the university.

3.Talent selection treatment after joining the university: After joining the university, a doctor can be selected into the “youth seedlings” project with a training period of 3 years, when the doctor can enjoy the allowance of RMB 20,000 per year in addition to the normal remuneration, and selected into the “youth support” training project after the “youth seedlings” period expires, when the doctor can enjoy the allowance of RMB 30,000 per year in addition to the normal remuneration. After getting a senior title, the doctor can be selected into the “top-notch youth” training project to enjoy allowance of RMB 40,000 per year in addition to the normal remuneration.

4. Arrangement for spouses: If the spouse of a doctor introduced has obtained a master’s diploma and degree and passed political examination, the University will make arrangement for the spouse in the manner of personnel agency.
