Position Summary:

Serves as functional resource on business processes and data validation, configuration, reporting security and systems interface. Performs system administration, develops financial reports of significant size and complexity that may influence management decisions. Assist end-users in specifying reporting requirements. Act as a liaison between internal business users and information technology support. Manage posting processes from all systems. Provide training assistance as needed, including assisting to create appropriate training materials and scenarios. As a Business Analyst this role drives all the aspects of Software Requirement gathering & analysis and project coordination for ERP.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Day to day business contact for end users and departmental constituents.
  • Serves as a liaison to operational, business departments and Information Technology teams.
  • Drives all the aspects of Software Requirement gathering & analysis of Business Intelligence projects and produce the software requirement document.
  • Assist in establishing associated projects scope.
  • Validate the solution meets the requirements and helps in creating the user acceptance test plans and test criteria for business intelligence projects
  • Provide support for all the project related tasks including deployment activities and go-lives
  • Analyzes user-reported problems to determine corrective action.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Provides status reports to the appropriate team leadership
  • Researches and resolves problems related to the system error messages or malfunctions. Troubleshoots and modifies existing operating systems to obtain maximum efficiency. Involves ITS in system programming as needed. Serves as functional liason on new products and system enhancements/upgrades.
  • Delivers training for end users on system. Designs and maintains accurate systems documentation for all Financial module management and analysis. Serves as liaison to department staff in interpretation and creation of data reports.


Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:
  • Bachelor's degree Business Administration or Computer Science or Healthcare Administration or equivalent. Experience may substitute for minimum education requirements.
  • 1-3 years healthcare BI experience as a Business Analyst or similar role.
  • Project management experience a plus.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong organizational, planning and time management skills.
  • Strong problem solving, critical thinking and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently with peers, end users, and outside vendors.

Additional Information:
  • To protect the health of patients and staff and to comply with new State of California mandates, City of Hope staff are required to show proof of full vaccination by September 30, 2021. Compliance is a condition of employment.
