What You Will Achieve

In your role, you'll work as a part of Pfizer Global Supply's Large Molecule Technology organization, which ensures global supply of novel vaccines (prophylactic and therapeutic) for the prevention and treatment of significant human diseases (e.g. infectious diseases, oncology) using a variety of vaccine technology platforms combined with immunomodulatory agents.

How You Will Achieve It
  • Apply technical skills to projects/ assignments within own work group/ project team.
  • Conduct experimental design in consultation with supervisor, literature review and increasing emphasis on independent design based on experience.
  • D evelop and test new hypotheses to improve the fundamental understanding of recovery and purification processes.
  • Execute operational efficiency improvements and planning and implementing improvements across Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) work processes.
  • Carry out on-going analysis of data generated and will identify problems.
  • Implement necessary changes following discussion with peers/supervisor.
  • Analyze and interpret experimental data, results and methodology used with guidance.
  • Present problems and propose solutions in discussions with group members.
  • Independently analyze, interpret, and provide conclusion and present experimental data.
  • Plan and prioritize related recovery/purification activities.


Qualifications

Must-Have
  • Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS)
  • 3+ years of experience.
  • Knowledge and ability to independently design, plan, and execute purification / recovery activities.
  • Strong analytical and skills.
  • Technical knowledge and skills in purification of biologics achieved through industrial or academic experience in research and development, technical operations, manufacturing, etc.


Nice-to-Have
  • Master's Degree (MA/MS).
  • Good written and verbal communication capabilities.
  • Sound understanding of statistical experimental design and analysis .
  • Proficiency with personal computers including word processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint , and relevant scientific software .
  • Experience with operating, monitoring and/or control of purification processes including Chromatography, Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF), and Normal Flow Filtration (NFF).

Occasionally work off-shift, overtime, weekends and/or holidays to meet business or customer needs. Occasional domestic and/or international travel. Work with potentially hazardous chemicals using appropriate personal protective safety equipment in a properly controlled environment.
