You will perform qualitative and quantitative analyses of organic, inorganic compounds, or biologics to determine chemical and physical properties during chemical syntheses, fermentation or drug product development process. You will be entrusted with setting objectives and planning resource requirements for your project team. You will be using your scientific judgment to adapt standard methods and techniques by applying prior work experience. You will undertake mentoring activities to guide team members.

Will require significant data analysis, authoring and reviewing complex technical and regulatory documents and likely some review and/or authoring of batch records and SOPs for use in a cGMP environment.

- Contribute at the therapeutic area level and may represent the group on multidisciplinary teams.
- Influence at the therapeutic area or discipline level and increasingly at the project team level.
- Participate in strategic planning in building out the capabilities and processes.
- Prepare presentations to technical and non-technical associates alike for the purpose of updating experimental progress and persuading project direction.
- Lead technical team to execute strategy and obtain relevant high quality data.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key partner lines and colleagues and increase Pfizer's external reputation.
- Participate in deep dive reviews of complex data with credible insights and flexible mindset.
- Manage the performance and development of a team of scientists that develop immunological and cell-based methods.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- Bachelor's Degree
- 12+ years of experience
- Proven record of strong technical skills and scientific expertise in analytical method development and troubleshooting
- Experience with UPLC, HPLC, LC-MS, GC-MS
- Understanding of Capillary Electrophoresis, qPCR, Multiangle Light Scattering Detectors, ELISA
- Experience working in a regulated environment
- Experience with technologies focused on analysis of biomolecules and conjugates
- Understanding of critical quality attributes of complex biomolecules such a peptide mapping, glycan analysis,
- Exemplary people skills and demonstrable leadership behaviors
- Demonstrated technical writing and presentation skills
Nice-to-Have
- PhD and 4+ years of relevant experience
- Direct experience working with Food and Drug Administration or other regulatory authorities
- Skills and experience in , biological assays and other general analytical techniques
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Will require significant data analysis, authoring and reviewing complex technical and regulatory documents and likely some review and/or authoring of batch records and SOPs for use in a cGMP environment.
