YOUR ROLE
  • Manages all technical activities and projects in the plant Implements a technology strategy to ensure efficient production and high quality products
  • Delivers against technical performance KPIs, budget and projects
  • Sets up and executes development plans for production personnel, esp. regarding training in Engineering and technology
  • Ensures operations processes and solutions are implemented according to global procedures and local regulations
  • Has legal responsibility for fulfilling SHEQ requirements
  • Acts as key contact for local authorities in the area of responsibility
  • Responsible for defining the vision and master plan for Maintenance at the facility (procedures, programs, tools, systems, etc.)
  • Align Department strategy with site goals and priorities
  • Closely partner with production to provide support and partnership on technical aspects of operations, i.e.
  • Autonomous Maintenance, Preventative maintenance, etc.
  • Ensure the implementation of daily management systems which support the correct deployment of the OEE glidepath and the deployment of the production strategy
  • Drive all operations of the maintenance department ensuring high operating standards are always applied
  • Ensure safety and quality mindset is adopted by all employees
  • Ensure competency-based process specific as well as safety and quality training for all employees is conducted in a timely, efficient, and complete manner to meet legal, regulatory and company requirements
  • Work closely with the Technical Reliability and Continuous Improvement personnel to analyze current performance and establish work activities to address losses
  • Own and execute daily maintenance meeting and escalate information to leadership team for Daily Operational Review
  • Provide direct leadership, direction, development and coaching to maintenance team members in accordance with skill matrices.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. These responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, and developing employees in the department: planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Actively seek and secure the best talent available creating a pipeline for future roles with both internal and external talent
  • Develop high performance team to meet long term maintenance needs of the facility.
  • Develop and execute training plan for all team members of the department
  • Support and manage the development of continuous improvement of standard work for all areas
  • Use all standards and tools deployed through HPS with full ownership in the use of problem solving to address root cause of losses
  • Accountable for overall maintenance budget including Maintenance and Repair Cost, Equipment availability and spare parts inventory
  • Partner closely with production to provide partnership, coordinator and coaching on the Break Down analysis
  • Ensure compliance with Henkel standards for human resources management, safety and loss prevention, cost control, waste reduction, quality, and on-time delivery
  • Ensure compliance with all Federal, State and Local and regulatory requirements
  • Support Henkel safety, environmental, health and quality initiatives and lead departmental commitment at all levels of direct and indirect personnel to follow the Safety, Environmental, Health and Quality Management Systems.
  • Perform other duties as may be required.

YOUR SKILLS
  • 10 years of related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment with a multicultural company
  • Relevant degree in a technical field required - preference is chemical, mechanical, or industrial engineering
  • Process Safety Management and Mechanical Integrity experience preferred
  • Proven strategic and tactical leadership experience within a plant /manufacturing, preferably in CPG or related
  • industry with strong work ethic, and positive attitude towards feedback
  • Strong work ethic with the highest level of integrity and can demonstrate professional maturity necessary to gain the confidence of senior level leaders, acting as a role model walking-the-talk
  • Demonstrated leadership, technical, functional and people development skills to continuously stretch performance of individuals in direct team
  • Demonstrated skills as a change agent, displaying a high level of energy, being self-driven and constantly questioning the status quo
  • Strong analytical and communication skills - demonstrated ability to communicate and present to all levels of an organization both verbally and in writing, being able to probe deeply into important details quickly even into complex circumstances and the ability to communicate complex concepts in a compelling, concise and creative way
  • Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement based on relevant experience in this area, i.e. Lean and TPM
  • Demonstrated track record of driving operational performance via strong leadership and change management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive team productivity and maintain high levels of employee engagement and morale
  • Demonstrated ability to identify issues, conduct root cause analysis and take-action to fix issues as well as building quantitative and analytical problem-solving as a key competence into a plant wide capability
  • Demonstrated strong project management skills, including larger capital expenditure projects
