Summary
The Department of Medicine, Section of Geriatrics and Palliative Care at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas, is seeking a research technician to join our team in performing research on mouse models of aging of the cardiovascular system. Research technicians joining our team should be able to work in busy environments and have basic science research experience including with mice.

Job Duties
- Prepares and conducts laboratory research experiments with echocardiography and Doppler techniques measuring heart and vascular function.
- Collects, compiles and analyzes data with Excel and other standard software
- Conducts literature searches and summarizes information in an appropriate format for a particular study.
- Documents results of experiments in specified formats.
- Participates and presents in laboratory meetings.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
- No Experience Required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Medical training including knowledge of cardiovascular physiology and biochemistry.
- Experience in handling mice.
- Experience in research.
