ROLE SUMMARY

This Medical Director role within Rare Disease, North America Medical will primarily focus within the US Rare Hematology Medical team on managing critical external stakeholder engagement across professional societies and patient organizations. He/she will be a key member of the cross-functional Rare Hematology/Hemophilia team, working to support key US Medical Affairs initiatives across the established product portfolio and emerging hemophilia gene therapy pipeline, collaborating as appropriate with Global Medical Affairs teams and cross-functional colleagues.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Further U.S. Hemophilia Rare Disease Congress presence including but not limited to coordinating educational symposia (materials, speakers, etc.); securing/organizing Rare Disease medical exhibit (One-Pfizer or stand-alone); formulating medical colleague session coverage plan
  • Demonstrate Medical leadership through sponsorships of professional organizations and patient advocacy groups (PAGs)
  • Preparation of Medical communications to be reviewed at Brand Review Committee/Medical Review Committee, as required
  • Appropriate upkeeping and maintenance of US Rare Hematology Medical repository of key customer-facing communications
  • Coordination with above-brand gene therapy and global hemophilia Medical teams as needed
  • Primary point of coordination with ENGAGE-Plus POC, Meeting Planning Team, etc., as required
  • Management of other/special external stakeholder initiatives or deliverables as needed
  • Surveillance of hemophilia competitive landscape


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Min Education and Experience: Bachelors in Health Science with 2+ years of experience
  • Communication and writing skills to support stakeholder engagement with respected professional societies and PAGs
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with differing deadlines
  • Proven ability to function effectively across a complex matrix organization with multiple stakeholders
  • Creativity, resourcefulness, high energy and flexibility


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Scientific/allied health degree or degree candidate
  • Experience managing initiatives or projects involving external stakeholders
  • Familiarity with evaluating and submitting sponsorships and knowledge of ENGAGE-plus
