Postdoctoral research position are available to work on an NIH-funded project.
We seek talented applicants with a recent PhD in Cancer Biology/ Biochemistry /Molecular Biology or closely related fields.
The research involves studies on innovative targeting of mutant p53 for therapeutic benefit as well as the mechanism of oncogenic functions by mutant p53 (see “The oncogenicity of tumor-derived mutant p53 is enhanced by the recruitment of PLK3. These positions provide excellent mentoring and training opportunities.
The project requires techniques involving DNA cloning, immunostaining, CRISPR/Cas9 related technologies and viruses along with generation of novel mouse knock-in/out models, and mouse tumor studies; candidates with experiences in these techniques will be preferred.
