Post-doctoral researcher

The Physical Intelligence Department (http://pi.is.mpg.de) at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems in Stuttgart, Germany is searching for a post-doctoral researcher. You will join a highly interdisciplinary team for studying biomechanics using controlled mechanical stimuli via soft robotic surfaces. You should be able to culture cells and prepare, image and characterize tissue-integrated synthetic deformable surfaces to control their behavior. Such knowledge could be also used to create bio-hybrid small-scale soft robots. You should have a strong research experience in biomechanics, tissue engineering, or bioengineering with a strong journal publication record, English communication and team work skills.
