Post-Doctoral Scientists and Research Assistants– Rush Alzheimer's Disease Center

The Rush University Alzheimer's Disease Center (RADC) is a leading experimental and epidemiological center for studying Alzheimer's disease. Over the past decade, the RADC has carried out numerous community-based cohort studies and generated multi-omic data from human specimens (https://www.radc.rush.edu/). An ongoing effort is to discover and test genetic drivers with multidisciplinary approaches, including single-cell multi-omics, iPSC-based stem cell modeling, and CRISPR gene perturbations. To embark on this exciting and ambitious research endeavor, we seek highly motivated Post-Doctoral Scientists in Molecular Genomics. 

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and develop new single-cell omics projects 
  • Conduct CRISPR-based genetic screening to manipulate potential disease driver genes
  • Develop cellular reporter assays to detect and measure disease phenotypes 
  • Run bioinformatics and computational analysis 
  • Graph and compile data and write manuscripts for publications 

 Requirements

  • Ph.D. or equivalent degree in the fields of molecular biology, stem cell biology, genetics, genomics, bioinformatics, neuroscience, or related fields
  • Extensive demonstrated experience in molecular biology and next-generation sequencing
  • Experience with single-cell multi-omics 
  • Excellent skills and experience in CRISPR-based genetic screening and data analysis
  • Experience with high-throughput and high-content screening 
  • Proficiency with bioinformatics and computational analysis  
  • Demonstrated skills in organization, analysis, and communication 
  • Proven ability to work independently and in collaborative team environments
