Assistant or Associate Professor
Applications are being solicited for a full-time researcher at Boston Children’s Hospital, the pediatric teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School. Prospective candidates should hold the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor at their present institution. The successful candidate will hold a PhD, MD or MD, PhD degree and will join an interactive research program in the Department of Urology that resides within a very strong research community. Successful candidates will have research interests in disciplines of relevance to genitourinary tract function with a preferred emphasis on regenerative biology and medicine. Areas of interest could include hollow organ physiology, neuroscience, or vascular biology with additional interests in animal models of human disorders. Modern research space and highly competitive start-up funds are available. The investigator will hold both Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School faculty appointments and may be eligible for affiliation with an additional basic science department at HMS. The candidate would also be encouraged to form productive interactions with colleagues and other scientists at the institution, particularly those in one or more multidisciplinary programs. The applicant will be expected to maintain a highly competitive research program and must have a proven track record in attaining extramural funding from NIH or other federal agencies.
