Scientist, Assistant/Associate/Full Professor, Radiology, MRI Imaging

Description
The professor will serve as the Principal Investigator and Director of a laboratory that will focus on basic and/or translational imaging research in the fields of MRI. There will be a substantial commitment to writing of manuscripts and grant applications. In addition, selected incumbent will be responsible for training graduate students, residents and postdoctoral fellows in research methodology.


Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

PhD or equivalent. Minimum of four (4) years of postdoctoral research in an academic environment in MRI. Capability of functioning as a student mentor with strong organizational and administrative skills. Excellent communication skills as demonstrated by lead authorship of published research communications and oral presentation at international conferences. Experience with grant applications. Record of extramural grant support.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Demonstration of high academic productivity. Prior history for R01-level federal support for MRI. Teaching experience.

To qualify for tenure and/or a senior faculty appointment, the candidate must meet the criteria established by the School of Medicine (School of Medicine's Criteria for Appointment, Promotion and Tenure).
