These are NIH grant-funded positions. Postdocs who exhibit outstanding performance have the opportunity to advance to faculty position. Transgenic, knockout and humanized mice, disease models, and mechanistic characterization are used to dissect the organ- and cell type-specific functions of nuclear receptors and their target genes in liver and gastrointestinal diseases, including NAFLD/NASH, liver fibrosis, liver cancer, IBD and colon cancer.
