Position Summary
The Trainer is responsible for the education and training of the Access Center departments. This position will involve producing efficient training methodologies and be responsible for the instructional design and delivery of classroom-based learning. The trainer works collaboratively with departmental peers and delivers comprehensive trainings to Access Center Personnel. The focus is in understanding the technical tasks within the context of the business operations, not just on the technical aspect of the tasks.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Develop training content/modules, maintenance of training records and report out to leadership.
  • Training delivery including classroom training, train-the-trainer, and webinars.
  • Ensures job aids and instructional training material remain current.
  • Evaluate and recommend edits on new and existing content to meet the needs of Patient Access.
  • Ensures the effective delivery of departmental training that allows Patient Access personnel to complete functional tasks.
  • Participation in change management process.
  • In concert with the director and other trainers, maintains a centralized repository for all training material while leveraging technology to create sustainable training programs to support Patient Access infrastructure.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.


Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 1 year of Patient Access experience

Preferred education experience and skills:
  • Training development/infrastructure and adult learning education
  • Maintains cooperative working relationships with staff members; a good team player, detail oriented and organized, excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to take and provide direction
