Director of Student Research

The University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine Rockford seeks applications for a full time Director of Student Research. This position will oversee the medical student research programs at UICOM-R, coordinating the development and conduct of student research at the University of Illinois College of Medicine Rockford. This position also provides statistical support to faculty and students who are conducting research. Support may take the form of consultation, setting up and managing databases, conducting analyses using statistical software, assistance with research study design, and writing up statistical analyses for manuscripts and grant proposals. The person in this position will collaborate and work as a team with various departments. The person in this position may also be expected to present sessions on biostatistics for medical students and biomedical students. The Director of Student Research reports to the Regional Dean.

The University of Illinois College of Medicine is one of the largest medical schools in the United States and offers outstanding opportunities for development for its students, faculty, and staff. Minimum qualifications include a master’s degree in biostatistics or related field, PhD is preferred. Three years’ experience conducting basic/clinical, or health systems research. Two years previous administrative experience is required.
