Our lab has a strong track record as a 'career conduit' for highly motivated postdocs aspiring leadership positions in academia and industry and have published in the last 5 years in Science, Nature Genetics, Nature Neuroscience, Nature Communications and other high profile journals.
1. A postdoctoral position for HIV xenograft modeling of neuroinflammation is available. The successful candidate will join a multi-disciplinary team exploring cellular and molecular mechanisms of HIV infection and inflammation associated with human progenitor cell-derived immune cells xenografted into the mouse. This highly interdisciplinary project will involve experimental neuropharmacology and behavioral studies in mouse model systems complemented by iPSC-based studies in cell culture. Candidates should have a Ph.D. and a strong background in translational models of neurological and immunological disease.
2. A postdoctoral position for exploration of innovative techniques in human postmortem brain, including long-read single chromatin fiber sequencing and epigenomic profiling, is available. The successful candidate will work at the nexus of wet and dry lab, including design and testing of radically novel chromatin assays and their biocomputational analyses.
