Job Details

A postdoctoral research position on circadian clocks is open in the lab of Professor Andy LiWang at the University of California, Merced (https://faculty.ucmerced.edu/aliwang). The project will study the structural biology of circadian clock proteins with the goal of elucidating mechanism. The postdoc will be responsible for the design, execution, and analysis of experiments on oscillating clock reactions using biochemical and biophysical techniques. The successful candidate will conduct independent research in a supportive, collegiate, inclusive, and collaborative work environment and have many opportunities to present his/her work at national and international conferences. The LiWang lab is supported by an NIH R01 grant and was just awarded an NIH R35 (MIRA) grant from 2022-2027. If interested, please send a cover letter, CV, and contact information for three references to Andy LiWang at aliwang@ucmerced.edu.

Postdoc salaries are set by the University of California System and currently range from around $55k/yr for no prior postdoc experience to $63k/yr for four years of prior postdoc experience.
