YOUR ROLE
  • This role of senior scientist is focused on the development of new products and formulas to meet the needs of consumers and customers.
  • The candidate should possess strong communication skills to interface multifunctionally and to translate consumer needs into new commercial products.
  • The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of chemistry to help develop and execute novel technical solutions.
  • The job will involve practical laboratory work including the planning and execution of laboratory experiments, measurement of product properties, stability, and performance.
  • This individual can also be a technical project leader on innovation, cost saving, and raw material qualification projects.
  • Actively seeks to understand and utilizes the understanding of structure/function relationships pertaining to material performance delivered from a formulation matrix
  • Develops and conducts experimental designs and laboratory screening methods to measure desired performance metrics and for the creation of prototype products.
  • Works closely with packaging, process development, safety and regulatory, testing functions, and manufacturing during the development and commercialization of products

YOUR SKILLS
  • Holds self and cross Education - Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Master's in Chemistry, Ph.D. in Chemistry or related field.
  • Experience -0-5 years of relevant laboratory experience.
  • Required skills - Strong technical skill, excellent communication skills and ability to utilize good judgement to make timely, practical, and technically sound decisions have high tolerance for volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity; enjoys working in fluid environments
The salary range for this role is $72,600 to $105,200. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Connecticut. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
