The McFaline-Figueroa Laboratory at the Biomedical Engineering Department of Columbia University School of Engineering and Applied Science is seeking a postdoctoral research scientist interested in developing and applying cutting edge single-cell genomic tools to determine how genes alter the molecular response to diverse exposures. The position will center on using these tools to probe the molecular basis of human disease. The incumbent will work on new and ongoing research projects as directed by the Lab Director / PI. Collaborate with other labs / PI’s under the direction of the Lab Director / Principal Investigator.
Minimum Qualifications: Education: Ph.D., M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree by the start of the appointment. Skills and Knowledge: Background and expertise in one or more of the following: genomics, proteomics, systems biology, bioinformatics, or computational biology. Experience in the use, development and analysis of single-cell genomic methods a plus. Responsible, independent and interested in collaborative work.
