Job Summary
- Innovation Project Manager leads and manages all Regional Projects for the respective SBU business. Project Management includes management of scope, stakeholder expectations, resources, timing and deliverables. This role is pivotal to supporting the SBUs growth and profitability goals as well as delivering new products in a timely manner to our strategic markets.
- Contribute to Global SBU success by driving Innovation Strategic Programs
- Develop, lead and review Innovation Projects within Adhesives Development Process
- Define and manage Project milestones to ensure alignment with global SBU plans, incl. financial business plan, technical roadmaps, customer roadmaps, etc
- Provide leadership and management for Product Development projects
- Direct project teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Run efficient and effective use of both Planview and Adhesives Development Process
- Drive master data accuracy within Planview
- Steer effective business case submission
- Facilitate and manage the clear definition and delivery of a project's value proposition
- Efficiently setup, lead and co-ordinate project teams
- Ensure thorough planning of project milestones / tasks / activities
- Proficiently drive speed-to-market through professional project execution including milestone planning, monitoring of progress v plan and resource management
- Submit projects for gate review when all deliverables are complete
- Take action after gate review based on gate decision
- Provide stakeholders with frequent and relevant transparency regarding projects
- Continually enhance knowledge sharing and project management standards
- Proactively communicate project progress status, issues / risks to stakeholders & Mgt
- Manage project concurrently and maintain high quality standards throughout
- NPI, NPI Rate,
- Project Timelines
- Efficiency and Effectiveness metrics
- Project launches and NPI achievement Rate with an acceptable PC level
YOUR SKILLS
Education & Professional Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- University degree (e.g Business Mgt, Engineering, Chemistry)
- Minimum of 3 years for both business experience & project management experience
- Global management of technology or product development project teams
- Skilled in ADP & Planview
- Knowledge of MS SharePoint
- Data driven with good analytical skills e.g Access, Excel, Pivot Tables, etc
- Collaborative & positive teamwork skills
- Able to contribute to a positive "can-do" mind set and team spirit
- Must be driven, persistent, and results-oriented
- Enthusiastic Change Agent - ability to "sell" internally
- Capability to drive and influence without direct authority
- Strong communication skills
- Persistent, determined, creative in the face of obstacles
- Demonstrated experience in an R&D setting
- Demonstrated experience with Stage-Gate / New Product Introduction
- PMP & MBA Preferred, technical breadth an asset
- Broad business experience covering several functional areas
- Working knowledge of MS Project
- SAP (PO3) Master Data Knowledge
- Leading specific SU Strategic Innovation Management Projects
- Travel up to 20% of time possible
