Job Description: ROLE SUMMARY
The Clinical Research (CR) Screener is responsible for registering new and current clinical research participants and conducting a series of pre-screening procedures to determine eligibility and enroll them for clinical studies. Pre- screening procedures include collecting consent as per GDPR (BR Only), conducting participant medical history and demography intake, reviewing health related documents, performing review of data accuracy, and maintaining source documentation. The CR Screener contributes to and supports the implementation and execution of recruitment strategies and acts in compliance with regulatory requirements related to the protection of all participant confidential data.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintains first contact with potential participants and informs them about clinical research and available study opportunities
  • Communicates protocol requirements, study procedures, stipend information, and PCRU policies to potential participants in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Assesses participants qualifications for participation in a study based on information gathered during the intake in accordance with study protocol inclusion/exclusion criteria and PCRU medical guidance.
  • Maintains source documentation, accuracy, accessibility, and confidentiality of participant records and reports.
  • Communicates with participants via text messaging, emailing, and other methods in compliance with regulatory requirements for study related recruitment, follow up, soliciting updated information and regular database clean up.
  • Schedules study screenings and cohorts/groups for dosing according to established timelines and manages appointments.
  • Demonstrates positive attitude to the participant population to ensure trust in clinical research.
  • Supports ongoing capture and analysis of metrics to demonstrate value and increase productivity.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Public Health, or Life sciences, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a clinical setting (research or healthcare)
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in using MS Office tools suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service and professionalism


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Health care practice experience with valid license (RN, LPN)
  • Understanding of local regulatory requirements (e.g., ICH, GCP)
  • Understanding of the drug development process
  • Spanish language fluency (PCRU New Haven)
