Position Summary

This Project Manager position will be part of the Clinical and Translational Project Development (CTPD) Core supporting scientific writing/editing and project management. This Project Manager will report to Dr. James Sanchez of the CTPD, supporting the Judy and Bernard Briskin Center for Multiple Myeloma, a rapidly growing department with many early-stage, "home-grown" projects in development and led by Drs. Amrita Krishnan and Jonathan Keats. The Project Manager will partner with Drs. Krishnan, Keats and Sanchez to coordinate the practical aspects of a program supported by a philanthropic gift (Nason project), as well as working with individual project leaders to facilitate regulatory reporting, manufacturing, and clinical trial activation. This position will also manage other developing projects within the Judy and Bernard Briskin Center for Multiple Myeloma and will involve the writing and editing of grant applications, clinical trial protocols, manuscripts, and meeting abstracts. This position requires a significant degree of independence and ability to make sound professional decisions. This job also requires high organizational skills, proficiency in writing and editing, self-motivation, creativity, and meticulous documentation.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Organize project working groups consisting of laboratory, regulatory, manufacturing, and clinical personnel.
  • Commands excellent writing and editing skills to assist with preparation and submission of grant applications, clinical trial protocols, manuscripts, and meeting abstracts.
  • Help working groups define currently available resources and determine additional resources that may be required to meet scientific milestones and expectations.
  • Drive timelines for project progress and completion of grant activities.
  • Maintains current knowledge and awareness of organizational and regulatory standards, policies and procedures relevant to multiple myeloma.
  • Participates in a collaborative, empowered work environment as demonstrated through teamwork.
  • Advances knowledge and skills as required for the continuing success of the COH-Nason project management.


Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:
  • Bachelors degree in life sciences. Masters or PhD preferred.
  • Two (2) years of experience in scientific writing, research project management, clinical study management, or clinical trial regulatory affairs in a healthcare/research/academic environment.
  • Experience in IND applications and other early-stage/translational research is preferred.
