Fulltime assistant professor and research associate position available immediately in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at University of Maryland School of Medicine, for the candidates with strong publication records and experience in developmental/stem cell biology, reproductive biology, and birth defects, especially in murine cardiogenesis and neural tube development. We are also interested in individuals with background in Alzheimer’s. Our research focuses on the genetic and epigenetic mechanisms of maternal diabetes-induced birth defects and placental dysfunction. Applicants must have a Ph.D. with expertise at least in one of following fields: embryonic development, cardiac development and disease, neural tube development, molecular biology, epigenetics, placental biology and Alzheimer’s disease. Additional requirements for applicants are experience in autophagy, non-coding RNA, cellular organelle stress or senescence.
