The Center for Genetic Diseases at the Chicago Medical School/Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science invites applications for a full-time, twelve-month tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor.

New members of the Center will join a highly successful and collaborative group of investigators that applies diverse approaches to better understand and treat disease. The successful candidate will be expected to establish an independent, extramurally funded research program that complements or extends the Center's current strengths in the molecular basis of disease. The Center encourages applications from individuals that incorporate novel, cutting-edge approaches to studying genetic diseases at the basic science, translational or clinical levels.

Faculty in the Center for Genetic Diseases will have an academic appointment in the Discipline of Physiology and Biophysics or Cell Biology and Anatomy and will contribute to teaching in the medical and graduate programs, including mentoring of graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, and other trainees. Start-up packages and salary are competitive and commensurate with experience.

Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science (RFUMS) is a graduate-level health sciences university situated on an 85-acre campus in North Chicago, IL. The Chicago Medical School (CMS) at RFUMS is one of six medical schools in the Chicago metro area, and offers extensive opportunities for collaboration with other scientists in the region.
