Summary

Research Coordinator II is part of a productive research team. The purpose of this position is to coordinate day to day activities of research protocols which include screening, enrollment, and monitoring of research participants. Ensures accurate data collection, documentation, organization and safety of research participants.

Job Duties

  • Interview, screen and recruit patients for study; explain process and procedures to educate participant regarding the research study.
  • Collect patient information; process documents and enter information into a database. May perform Venipuncture (blood draws), other procedures and obtain vital signs on study participants.
  • May collect, process, ship, and maintain paperwork for blood and/or biological specimens according to procedures outlined in study protocol.
  • May be required to receive on the job training of phlebotomy and other procedures prior to performing on study participants.
  • Maintain records and regulatory documents and records for research studies.
  • Schedule research participant for tests and procedures such as laboratory tests, x-rays, and other studies specific for the research protocol.
  • Retrieve and submit test results to appropriate party.
  • May correspond with patient throughout study.
  • Order supplies and equipment.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
  • One year of relevant experience.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual (Spanish).
  • Nutrition background.
  • Familiarity with Office Suite/REDCap or similar program.
