Summary
The Research Coordinator II coordinates day-to-day activities of human subject research protocols, which includes screening, enrollment and monitoring of pediatric research subjects. This position requires an individual that can manage multiple tasks with a high attention to detail. The Research Coordinator II position involves accurate data collection, documentation, and ensures the overall safety of human subject participants. The role is within pediatric - genetics involving three medication trials for pediatric achondroplasia (dwarfism). The medication was just approved by FDA, therefore, the studies are continuing to collect data for the next several years.

Job Duties
- Collects accurate data and enters it in an electronic database.
- Responds to data queries.
- Organizes study visits - arrange travel through travel agency; make appointments with various departments.
- Conducts drug accountability.
- Packages and ships frozen and ambient lab specimens.
- Participates in protocol specific training such as anthropometric measurements, ECGs.
- Contributes to study budget development.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
- One year of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with science background preferred.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Experience with computer files and spreadsheets.
