A postdoctoral position is immediately available in the Stem Cell Biology Group led by Dr. Guang Hu in the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), Research Triangle Park, North Carolina (https://www.niehs.nih.gov/research/atniehs/labs/escbl/pi/stemcell/index.cfm). The Stem Cell Biology Group is currently investigating how chromatin and post-transcriptional regulations control cell fate in pluripotent stem cells and early mouse development. In addition, we are also carrying out high-throughput genetic screens, single cell analysis, and developing new genetic and genomic tools to identify and study novel regulators of pluripotency and differentiation toward the germline.

Applicants must have a doctoral level degree with less than five years of postdoctoral research. Experience either in computational biology and bioinformatics or in stem cell and developmental biology is highly recommended. Competitive stipends are determined by educational degree(s) and number of years of relevant research experience.

NIEHS is located in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, and provides a stimulating environment and excellent opportunities for young scientists to develop their research careers. NIH is dedicated to building a diverse community in its training and employment programs.
