The Laboratory of Lymphocyte Nuclear Biology within the NIH Regulome Project is recruiting a Molecular Biologist. The major goal of this consortium is to unravel the molecular mechanisms driving transcription in mammalian cells. In particular, we are interested in how nuclear architecture and chromatin decondensation facilitate gene expression. To achieve these goals, we are combining molecular biology, genome editing, mouse genetics, genomics, nanoscopy and bioinformatic tools.
The candidate will perform genome-wide experiments, including ChIP-Seq, RNA-Seq, Hi-C, GRO-Seq, and MNaseI-Seq. In addition, she/he will make use of CRISPR Cas9 editing tools to modify the genome to test ideas. Our laboratory represents an exciting and highly diverse group of scientists from a wide range of backgrounds and biological training.
