These responsibilities include some of the following: Support GMP mammalian and microbial cell banking programs internally and at Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMO), striving for right first time. Perform cell banking operations to ensure master and working cell banks are manufactured to meet project timelines. Responsible for GMP documentation management including process transfer documents (PTDs), master batch records (MBRs), media forms, standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions (Wis) and reports. Specific Accountabilities: Manufacture master and working cell banks to meet project timelines. Perform cell banking operations (manufacturing and stability assessments) following written procedures and master batch records in accordance with cGMPs. Duties include cell counts, cell passages, and environmental monitoring. Complete and maintain all assigned/required safety and role-specific training. Responsible for Monthly/Quarterly equipment and documentation activities. Author and/or execute, as applicable, process transfer documents, master batch records, media forms, standard operating procedures, work instructions and reports. Coordinate and perform cell bank shipments using liquid nitrogen shippers. Coordinate activities between development and GMP Operations and represent the department in communications and in meetings. Maintain cell bank inventory, perform annual cell bank inventory checks, and support transfer of cell banks to manufacturing, testing, and development groups. Participate in deviation investigations, change controls and implementation of CAPAs. Participate as required in GMP and Safety audits. Why you? Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: BS in relevant field (i.e. Biology, Chemistry, etc.) plus 1+ years of GMP manufacturing working experience. Experience with cell culture aseptic technique. Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: Knowledge of GMP requirements. Operational knowledge of standard lab equipment (incubators, centrifuges, Biological Safety Cabinets (BSCs) etc). Experience with manufacture of cell banks. Experience with technical writing (eg. Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Work Instructions (WI), etc.). Experience with Inventory Management. Why GSK?
