Site Name: USA - Pennsylvania - Upper Providence Posted Date: Nov 30 2021 We are currently seeking a keen, dynamic and self-motivated Senior Scientist to join the Bioanalysis, Immunogenicity and Biomarkers (BIB) organization based in Collegeville, PA, delivering right-sized automation solutions to reduce assay variability, increase efficiency and facilitate data analysis and reporting. This role will support bioanalytical assays generating PK, immunogenicity and biomarker data enabling pre-clinical and clinical drug development. The successful candidate will aid the efforts in adoption of automation across Bioanalysis, Immunogenicity and Biomarkers in the US, and will work closely with partners across GSK including the UK. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot and correct problems with automation and control systems Support engineering projects, validation activities and commissioning Train end users and perform maintenance on automation hardware Contribute to assay automation strategy and lab-based assay support within the BIB organization. Accountable for delivering high quality bioanalytical assays and results, in full compliance with regulatory requirements. Report results to agreed timelines Understand and execute basic statistical analyses Demonstrate ability to handling multiple projects concurrently Function well in a team and possess a good balance of creative and analytical skills Why you? Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences, Life Sciences or Engineering and able to demonstrate a capability for delivering bioanalytical laboratory automation solutions A minimum of 2 years experience of working with the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry with automation experience in a laboratory environment, preferably in pharmaceuticals or consumer healthcare Highly motivated team player with a proactive attitude, excellent organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to interact effectively within a multi-disciplinary team Basic or advanced understanding of the concepts of object-oriented programming An aptitude for solving mechanical and computer problems Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Tecan/Hamilton liquid handling systems is preferred Having taken multiple semesters of a programming language Prior experience with design, programming, startup, troubleshooting, and validation of automation and controls on manufacturing equipment or systems Has the ability to work autonomously Attention to detail with excellent communication and documentation skills.
