Primary Duties:

The Analytical Development Associate is a key member of AD Assay/Methodology development team. The selected candidate will apply existing knowledge to develop new analytical methods and optimize existing assays to support multiple projects. She/he must be able to efficiently design and execute experiments, perform data analysis to support upstream and downstream process development. Participate process characterization/validation work, collaborate with analytical science and QC teams to develop SOPs and transfer the developed assays to the corresponding teams.

The major responsibilities are as follows, but not limited to:

  • Completing both routine and non-routine operational activities of moderate technical difficulty under some supervision, including sample management, and maintaining equipment and lab supplies
  • Supporting lab operational activities as required, including preparing reagents, maintaining equipment, ordering supplies, and sample management
  • Authoring SOPs, lab procedures, and result reports
  • Capable of performing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Participating in the authoring of technical reports
  • Flexibility to change tasks and order of priorities quickly as needs of business change
  • Maintaining accurate, timely and detailed records of work.
  • Ability to propose solutions to lab issues and improve lab efficiency
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with team and cross-functional partners, and to train junior team members
  • Excellent organizational, record keeping, and communication skills

  • Working in the labs to perform experiments described above in the job primary duties
  • Design experiments, organize, discuss, and record experimental data.
  • Prepare presenting materials, literature search and so on.
  • Trainings, lab meetings and administration work

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • BA/BS/MS in relevant scientific field with 3+ years of relevant experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience with viral vector production and characterization is preferred
