Position description The Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, San Diego  (https:// medschool.ucsd.edu /som/pediatrics /Pages/default.aspx) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body. The Division of Genetics are currently seeking to expand the Medical Genetics and Biochemical Genetics team: https://medschool.ucsd.edu/som/pediatrics/Divisions/genetics/Pages/default.aspx https://www.rchsd.org/programs-services/genetics-dysmorphology/ The Genetics Division is actively involved in clinical care, research, teaching, and service. Qualifications Basic qualifications (required at time of application)  Candidates must have an MD or MD/PhD or equivalent in Health Related fields, be board certified/board eligible in Medical Genetics and/or Biochemical Genetics. Candidates must have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.

Preferred qualifications Candidates with evidence of regional or national involvement in education and/or research activities (societies, conference presentations, abstract reviews, publications, grants, other) are preferred. Candidate with four to five years of clinical experience and a clinical and/or research focus in Genetics are also preferred.
