Summary

Postdoc needed to coordinate the daily efforts of the research technician and including focus on the design, implementation, and review of studies related to aims on an NIH grant. This grant will study the Wnt1 model of OI including generating the preliminary studies of Wnt1 mutant progenitor cells in the skull in the context of development and repair.

Role will be to lead and develop mechanistic studies in skeletal dysplasias as it related to human and mouse genetic disease models in the context of bone, cartilage, and tendon development. The ultimate goal would be develop therapeutic strategies based on understanding the underlying disease mechanisms.

Job Duties

  • Plans, directs and conducts specialized and advanced research experiments.
  • Evaluates and analyzes data.
  • May establish new research protocols and procedures.
  • Summarizes research findings and publish results in research journals.
  • May be responsible for laboratory operations.
  • May supervise research staff.


Minimum Qualifications

  • MD or Ph.D. in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
  • Experience Required: None Required.


Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD required.
