The Department of Biological Sciences at Loyola University New Orleans, a primarily undergraduate institution, seeks highly qualified applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the area of cell and molecular biology to begin in August 2022. The successful applicant will have a Ph.D. in a relevant discipline, significant post-doctoral research experience, and a strong commitment to rigorous, innovative, and inclusive teaching at the undergraduate level. Candidates are expected to develop an externally funded research program involving undergraduates. Courses to be taught may include introductory biology for majors and non-majors and additional elective major and non-major courses according to the interests and expertise of the appointee and the needs of the department.
