Experimental Neuroscience Focused Postdoctoral Fellow

A position is available immediately in the Lapish Laboratory at the rank of postdoctoral fellow. This position will study how the computations that underlie decision-making are impaired by stress and addiction. A PhD is required in applicable discipline (Neuroscience, Physics, Statistics, etc.). This is an NIH grant-funded position.

An individual with experience in experimental neuroscience techniques to assess rodent behavior is sought. These techniques include, but are not limited to electrophysiology, rodent behavior, targeted genetics (e.g. Optogenetics, DREADDs), and statistical analysis of behavior. This individual will work closely with the Lapish laboratory and collaborators to explore how decision-making is altered in rodent models of alcohol addiction. This will be primarily through the application of large scale neural recordings in behaving animals. While expertise with this technique is preferable it is not a prerequisite.
