Postdoctoral Associate Position in RNA Turnover and Metabolism

The Kiledjian laboratory in the Dept. Cell Biology & Neuroscience at Rutgers University is seeking an outstanding postdoctoral associate to study the regulation of RNA turnover in the control of gene expression. The laboratory is interested in understanding the molecular mechanism of mRNA decapping and the functional role of 5´ end cap epitranscriptomic noncanonical cap modifications such as a nicotinamide adenine diphosphate (NAD) cap or m6Am cap in the regulation of gene expression. Other areas of investigation include the role of decapping proteins in human cognitive disability. Please refer to the Kiledjian Lab web page for more information on areas of research interest and publications.

We are seeking highly motivated candidates with a Ph.D. in molecular/cellular biology or a related discipline with good communications skills and a publication track record in peer reviewed journals.  Preference will be given to applicants with research experience in the areas of post-transcriptional gene regulation, RNA metabolism and computational biology.

Interested individuals should apply by email (Kiledjian@biology.rutgers.edu) to Mike Kiledjian, Ph.D., and include a cover letter describing interests and past accomplishments, a current curriculum vitae, and contact information for three references.
