Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated, responsible, and organized individual to join our group at USDA/ARS Children's Nutrition Research Center as a Research Associate. We are interested in the fundamental mechanisms of whether and how the brain mediates obesity and metabolic disorders. Through a combination of in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo approaches, we are currently identifying key neural signaling pathways of obesity and type 2 diabetes. By manipulating the neural pathways, we hope to find a new approach to improve and reverse obesity and type 2 diabetes. This position provides exciting opportunities for candidates to develop new skills in the interface of neuroscience and metabolism, an exciting new frontier in brain research.
