Summary

We are looking for a motivated and knowledgeable candidate to oversee GMP manufacturing and release of therapeutic CAR T-cell products in ongoing Phase I clinical trials. The candidate will supervise a small team of technologists to perform required release assays and direct correlative follow-up studies using cutting-edge high-dimensional methods of analysis. The candidate will oversee development and implementation of new manufacturing and testing approaches to maximize clinical activity of CAR T-cells in cancer patients.

Job Purpose

Performs complex research of an advanced nature under the general direction of the Principal Investigator. Typically requires a high-level of skills and expertise in the area of research specialty.

Job Duties

  • Directs a small team of 1-2 technologists to carry out CAR-T cell immunophenotyping and cytotoxicity assays for clinical release.
  • Interfaces with GMP and clinical teams to obtain and analyze follow-up samples obtained from patients after CAR T-cell infusion.
  • Analyzes and interprets data from multi-dimensional flow cytometry analyses of CAR T-cell samples pre- and post-infusion.
  • Facilitates development of new methods of manufacturing and release testing and assist with preparing validation plans and post-validation reports.
  • Integrates correlative data obtained from GLP and flow cytometry core and assist with preparing scientific reports and presentations.
  • Assists with lab managing duties and maintains critical supplies for clinical assays.
  • Helps cure patients with incurable cancers.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Basic Science or a related field. Experience in lieu of degree will not be accepted.
  • Three years of relevant experience typically as a Research Assistant, Research Technician or Postdoctoral Fellow/Associate.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in cell biology, cell culture and flow cytometry.
  • Expertise in immunology is a plus.
  • High attention to details and strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills highly desirable.
