Summary
The Research Associate will perform complex research of an advanced nature under the general direction of the Principal Investigator. The major objective of this position is to investigate the role of metabolism in cancer progression and metastasis. Will be responsible for conducting the lab experiments and validation studies. Will also be responsible for the development of independent projects with the help of PI and collaborators. This position requires excellent collaboration skill and ability to work as a team player.

Job Duties
- Genetically modify cell models using gene knockdown and over-expression systems.
- Perform functional analysis to identify cancer metabolic reprogramming.
- Perform molecular biology experiments to identify oncopathways.
- Prepare samples and perform validation studies for RNA sequencing analysis.
- Train new and junior lab members and students.
- Summarize and revise the manuscripts associated with research projects.
- Accurately document experiments to ensure that work can be replicated by others.
- Maintenance of mice and in vivo experiments. The lab use different preclinical studies using mouse models and xenografts. Be actively involved in in vivo experiments.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in Basic Science or a related field. Experience in lieu of degree will not be accepted.
- Three years of relevant experience typically as a Research Assistant, Research Technician or Postdoctoral Fellow/Associate.
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in the relevant field.
- Non-PhD candidate with extensive experience in Cancer Biology, Metabolism, epigenetics, bio-informatics or Immunology will be considered depending on the level of experience and past accomplishments.
- Previous experience in cancer biology and in vivo experiments.
