ROLE SUMMARY

The US Inflammation and Immunology (I&I) Rheumatology/Gastroenterology Medical Affairs Group Lead reporting to the VP I&I North American Medical Affairs Lead and is an integral member of I&I North American Medical Leadership Team and is the single accountability in leading Xeljanz & Inflectra US HQ medical team and medical program. The US Inflammation and Immunology Rheumatology/Gastroenterology Medical Affairs Group Lead combines medical expertise and understanding of the patients and physicians' point of view with that of the Rheumatology and Gastroenterology Disease Area and Brands. He/she is part of a cross-functional environment where colleagues always understand and exhibit customer-focused medical professionalism with honor and integrity.

The US Inflammation and Immunology Rheumatology/Gastroenterology Medical Affairs Group Lead is the strategic partner and single point of accountability with commercial brand team and provides medical leadership and strategic inputs to ensure appropriate and safe clinical use of Xeljanz and Inflectra in US.

The US Inflammation and Immunology Rheumatology/Gastroenterology Medical Affairs Group Lead supervises Team Leads, medical directors, senior medical directors in the team to develop and advance their capability and

career, develop and execute medical operating plan, and provide medical support to commercial strategies and operations.

The US Inflammation and Immunology Rheumatology/Gastroenterology Medical Affairs Group Lead will work in a matrix management environment and oversee planning and timely, high quality execution of medical tactics such as ISR, CRC, IGLC, advisory boards, etc. to support the product launches and life cycle plans. Understand and effectively communicate current scientific knowledge, including medical needs, to different stakeholders, including patients, within disease area, customizing the communication for the audience leading to effective communication. Establish how the medicine's profile fits into customer needs in the US and the commercial strategy and compares to competitive medicines, effectively communicating same to various stakeholders, including patients. Lead working groups in a professional, inclusive manner encouraging open discussion as related to assigned activities and specific roles, while demonstrating respect for people. Acting as Pfizer's medical spoken person, actively engage dermatology clinical community such as KOLs and HCPs to build up Pfizer commitment in Rheumatology and Gastroenterology, understand customer insights and develop continue communication and collaboration on clinical research and medical education.

The US Inflammation and Immunology Rheumatology/Gastroenterology Medical Affairs Group Lead will develop long-term relationships with a wide variety of key healthcare stakeholders and customers to include Medical Groups and key opinion leaders to demonstrate clinical and economic value of Pfizer's assets in the treatment of dermatology diseases. These activities are implemented to help inform HCPs and formulary decision-makers through medical presentations, pharmacoeconomic analyses, and outcomes evaluations along with Organized Customer (OC) and Field Medical (FM) colleagues. Additional customer collaborations are built with the goal of aligning corporate medical priorities with the specific needs of the customer to advance the quality of patient care in areas of mutual interest, to identify provider and/or patient knowledge gaps, and areas for quality improvement interventions. They will develop, in conjunction with dermatology medical team members, an advanced perspective of the evolving clinical and

healthcare landscape of dermatology.

The US Inflammation and Immunology Rheumatology/Gastroenterology Medical Affairs Group Lead will utilize his/her understanding of clinical and patient-directed rheumatology and gastroenterology issues to help assist Pfizer I&I US on most strategic approach to launch of new indications and grow existing indications. The US Inflammation and Immunology Rheumatology/Gastroenterology Medical Affairs Group Lead will also provide Pfizer I&I US brand teams with customer and clinical insights to assist in informing Pfizer strategies on critical health issues and facilitate the development of customer-focused tools and medical communications to support patient access to quality medicines.

The US Inflammation and Immunology Rheumatology/Gastroenterology Medical Affairs Group Lead will lead US Xeljanz and Inflectra medical affairs team to build up team culture, develop strategic planning and operational processes, ensure effectiveness and quality of project and budget management, and engage and develop colleagues in the team. He/she will partner with Xeljanz/Inflectra FM team leaders to develop field medical customer engagement strategy and materials and ensure effective and impact medical to medical engagement and communication.

The US Inflammation and Immunology Rheumatology/Gastroenterology Medical Affairs Group Lead will partner with global Dermatology team leader for the strong partnership and alignment and ensure that US insight and needs will be incorporated in global planning and global programs.

  • Strategic oversight the medical leadership and medical strategic inputs on Xeljanz & Inflectra US to ensure appropriate clinical use
  • Single point of accountability for overall Xeljanz & Inflectra US medical team, medical strategy and medical program
  • Single point of accountability for overall medical support to Xeljanz & Inflectra business in US Provide deep therapeutic area and asset expertise for (Xeljanz and Inflectra, and late stage pipeline assets in developments) to the entire US I&I organization and externally
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to understand major unmet medical needs and medical environment including HCP and patient perspective and regulatory and access dynamics at the US level and is accountable for defining and executing the strategy and major strategic medical initiatives for the US organization and represents US in the cocreation of US medical plan across Xeljanz & Inflectra and late-stage rheumatology portfolio
  • Accountable for optimal project and budget managements
  • Single point of medical contact with US commercial team leader. Single point of medical contact for global Xeljanz & Inflectra medical team leader
  • Manage the Xeljanz & Inflectra US medical team, supervise medical directors and senior directors in the team and ensure the team engagement and productivity, medical ethic
  • Engage and motivate team members to develop and advance their capability and career Lead KOLs and HCPs customers' engagement to build up Pfizer commitment in rheumatology, understand customer insights and develop continue communication and collaboration on clinical research and medical education
  • Oversight of presentations of Pfizer data and compliant implementation of strategy into RC and MRC approved materials
  • Oversight for medical strategy for promotional materials
  • Coach and provide medicine(s) or/and therapeutic area expertise to other medical and non-medical cross-functional colleagues including training
  • Cross functional efforts with constituents from Commercial, OC, FM, PHI, RWD
  • Participate in the medical/scientific assessment of potential business development activities and pre-proof of concept compounds within Pfizer Research as requested
  • Oversight the planning and executing successful advisory boards, congress-related symposium
  • Oversight the planning and executing the strategy and execution of ISR, CRC and ASPIR
  • Contribute to scientific, long-term life cycle planning and publication. Serve as a reliable, trusted resource of accurate, current medical and scientific knowledge (e.g.: disease states, product label, statistics interpretation etc), including competitive medicines, for internal and external stakeholders and customers
  • Objectively interpret technical and commercial information to deliver value added education to assigned teams
  • Serve as a translator between technical and commercial functions, driving the transfer and appropriate application of both commercial and clinical knowledge, ideas, and needs
  • Collaborate with Global Medical Affairs, and as appropriate, Commercial Development, Clinical Development, research, and other cross-functional teams in driving US strategic direction for Brand Contribute to the planning and timely, high quality execution of medical tactics across indications to support the US life cycle plan for Brand
  • Understand and effectively communicate current scientific knowledge, including medical needs, to different stakeholders, including patients, within disease area, customizing the communication for the audience leading to effective communication
  • Provide overall medical strategic direction to FM engagement and activities
  • Partner with FM TL to develop proper medical materials and initiatives to ensure high quality and high impactful medical to medical engagement and communication


QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in a health science required
  • PharmD, PhD, or equivalent terminal doctoral degree (e.g., Doctor of Nursing Practice, Doctor of Physical Therapy) highly preferred
  • Relevant experience required: 15 - 19 years with a bachelor's degree; 10 or more years with terminal degree, 13 - 17 Years MBA/MS.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Expertise or experience in the designated clinical therapeutic areas of Inflammation & Immunology is desirable
