Reporting to the Director for the Center for Precision Medicine and Genomics, the Director of Genomic Health and Informatics will oversee health informatics and genomics operations of the program. The Director of Biomedical Health and Informatics will also be responsible for development of the bioinformatics pipeline.

Responsibilities include: establishing, in collaboration with the oversight committee, financial and performance goals for the program, overseeing and interacting with all personnel involved with the precision medicine program and related university activities, development and/or execution of policies and procedures for the use of bioinformatics resources and pipelines for the program, overseeing all genome-sequencing and analytics platforms for the CPMG Program, developing customized tools and pipelines for analysis of genome sequence and phenotype data, implementing structures and platforms for genome-sequencing analytics and clinical interpretation, including development of some customized pipelines, implementing structures and platforms for integration of phenotypic and genomic data for clinical and genomics research, implementing and supervising web-based tools for patient recruitment and interaction, supervising programmers and data analysts to achieve the overall aims of the center, contributing to the scientific proposals and requests for resources to complete scientific goals, overseeing and ensuring compliance with data security and IRB rules, prepare Annual Report, performing additional responsibilities as needed.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus four years of related experience. Must possess an outstanding knowledge of bioinformatics, genomics, computing and programming. Must have knowledge of existing genome sequencing informatics platforms, web- and cloud-based tools for analysis and processing of genome sequence data, and have the ability to troubleshoot such pipelines. Knowledge of electronic health records data structure and relevant analytic methods is preferred.
