Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH) Rosamund Stone Zander Translational Neuroscience Center (RSZ TNC) invites applications for a full-time faculty position in the field of Translational Genomic Medicine for childhood Mendelian neurodevelopmental disorders. Appointments will be considered at the level of Assistant Professor.
Selection will be based on excellence in leadership and the potential to initiate and collaborate in outstanding research. Successful applicants will have evidence of prior scholarly productivity and a strong publication record in the rare genetic disease space. Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills are required. An MD qualification or equivalent, prior clinical experience in genetic / genomic medicine and experience in clinical bioinformatics are strongly preferred. The faculty member will lead the Translational Genomics Medicine Unit of the RSZ TNC.
BCH and Harvard Medical School have developed world class programs in neuroscience and genetics, and the successful applicant will be able to leverage these resources in research initiatives. The primary faculty appointment will be in the Department of Neurology with possible affiliate appointment with the Division of Genetics and Genomics at BCH. The selected Candidate will also have access to the resources of the Intellectual and Developmental Disorders Research Center (IDDRC) at BCH/HMS.
